About the Providers
Mr. Eric Amene is a caring and compassionate adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 7 + years of experience in the healthcare industry. He welcomes patients across the lifespan, from infants to seniors, at Healing Hands Behavioral Health Services. He is skilled at addressing a wide range of mental health conditions, including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more.
Mr. Amene earned his Associate degree in general studies at Baltimore City Community College before transferring to Bowie State University to earn his bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN). He worked as a mental health nurse in different hospitals, including correctional facilities in the state of Maryland, for several years before moving on to obtain his master’s degree in nursing (MSN) at Walden University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He is an esteemed member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Mr. Amene enjoys giving back to his community and has served as a volunteer for the March of Dimes. During consultations, Mr. Amene gives each and every patient his attention and is deeply committed to their well-being. He is devoted to ensuring the longevity of his patients’ health as well as developing long-lasting relationships with them.

With an increased demand for psychiatric and mental health services in the state of Maryland and its environs, Healing Hands Behavioral Health Services (HHBHS) was established in 2019 to provide high-quality services to meet such demands. HHBHS is aimed at rendering mental health services readily available and more accessible to patients and families in need, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to helping achieve wellness and recovery across the lifespan in the most efficient way in a bit to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness.
